Finally, there’s documented medical proof that electromagnetic hypersensitivity is a real-time health issue that actually can be verified using standard medical procedures and testing capabilities.
An international group of researchers aced it when they published their findings from the clinical study “Metabolic and Genetic Screening of Electromagnetic Hypersensitive Subjects as a Feasible Tool for Diagnostics and Intervention” in the November 2014 issue of Mediators of Inflammation. Last week, hundreds of Edenorte customers in the Dominican Republic removed so-called ‘smart’ meters from their homes and businesses.
Watch the action here on Facebook (with over 1.3 million views!), or on Youtube below:
The title of the video loosely translates to: “Take off your meters and bring it to EDENORTE in Piedra Blanca.”
While ‘smart’ meters facilitate unlawful surveillance, cause fires and emit strong pulsed microwave radiation, it appears that these organized customers were most irate about the unjustifiable increases in their utility bills.
We commend Dominicans for such unified, inspiring action, and we commend their military and police for doing the right thing and supporting the people.
UPDATE: Video Translation:
“Hundreds of meters were removed and put in front of the electricity company offices of the north (in the city of Peidro Blanca, Provinice of Monseñor Nouel).”
“The reason was high rates combined with frequent electrical outages in the region. The outages became prolonged and the electricity bills arrived at nearly double that of the month before.”
One guy (in pink t-shirt) holds up a meter and asks how it is possible in X days for it to register 1041 Kilowatts. And he says, “this is why we say that they have rigged these meters to benefit them.”
“The residents say that the lower their consumption, the higher the bills.”
“Since yesterday, residents from numerous barrios had gone out in the streets to protest this.”
We’ve also received this background info:
The electric company (Edenorte) has changed all of the meters to “smart” digital meters. They began that process a year ago, and so throughout the city we all have these meters which the electricity company says are a “more accurate” reading of the usage of every home.
And also because the electric company is now a “free entity” meaning that they are no longer under government regulation, they can essentially do whatever they want, hence charge whatever they want.
A commenter below notes: The electricity was being cut off out of nowhere and they would have no power for a couple of hours every day, sometimes more.
They are also saying that the electric bills are coming in double for the same usage as last year, and that is true.
The bills came this month, and the video is an example of public outrage.
They’re turning over the trucks of the electric company, slashing the tires, and braking the windows – but other than that it’s just a normal calm beautiful day here.
My Conclusion: As I watch the video the although I don’t understand the Spanish language. but the people in the Dominican Republic are so angry about being rip off by their electricity companies so they have Hundreds of meters were removed and put in front of the electricity company offices. This let me know that people are not going to put up with it. And this video will be viewed around world and inspire the many and encourage those to stand up and take back their electricity.

Victorians have paid more than $2 billion for the roll out of electricity smart meters but have received few benefits, an auditor-general’s report has found.
The report said the greatest benefit from smart meters over the life of the program related to avoiding the costs of installing and manually reading older meters.
“When the rollout was announced, the benefits were promoted widely,” the report, which was tabled in State Parliament, said.
“However, when the Government reviewed the program in 2011 it was clear there would be no overall benefit to consumers, but instead a likely cost of $319 million.”
It said the cost was likely to climb beyond that, and there was a risk consumers would not see the expected benefits.
“The reality of the smart meter rollout is that the state approved a program, many of the costs of which it could not directly control, nor drive many of the benefits ascribed to it.
“Nevertheless, the rollout is now complete and Victoria has infrastructure in place that might lead to future innovation and benefit to consumers.

Smart meters are now being used by authorities to crack down on “water wasters” in the state of California, but this is just the tip of the iceberg as far as what they can be used for. Ultimately, smart meters are designed to be part of an entire “smart grid” that will enable government bureaucrats “to control everything from your dishwasher to thermostat“. And in recent years, there has been a massive push to install smart meters in as many homes in the United States and Europe as possible. Back in December 2007, there were only 7 million smart meters installed in this country. Today there are more than 51 million. On the other side of the Atlantic, the European Parliament has set a goal of having smart meters in 80 percent of all homes by the year 2020. This is being promoted as the “green” thing to do, but could it be possible that there is more to these smart meters than meets the eye? They know when you’re out and when you go to bed.
The Office of the Privacy Commissioner yesterday fired a warning shot at power companies over the huge amounts of private details that smart meters collect every day.
In a memo, the office said such meters, which are now installed in more than a million New Zealand homes and businesses, could take electricity readings detailed enough to determine whether customers were using high-energy appliances, such as ovens or heaters, and when they had left the house.
But power companies said it was not possible to gather that level of detail, and all private electricity information was stored securely.
The office had received a growing number of complaints concerning smart meters, with customers claiming the collection of their real-time electricity readings amounted to a breach of privacy. Continue reading Smart meters: power companies know when you’re home
Katherine Smith from http://www.stopsmartmeters.org.nz goes into detail about the threats to privacy, the increased cost and adverse health effects of wireless smart meter technology.
A very sobering reminder that corporatism is already here.
The power companies use government and law to force to accept smart meter and the smart meter are a major privacy and health concern and its also hackable because it can be access with Wifi. Problem is people in New Zealand are just accepting the smart meter with no question and they done with electricity, gas and they thinking about water smart meters.
Good thing is that if you haven’t got smart meter and something that you can do is put a padlock on the meter box also a sign say “Stop! do not install a smart meter. But Meter Readers are welcomed to come to read the meter” But if you do have smart meter on your house and getting it removed will be difficult.

all me a Luddite, but I don’t want a “smart” electricity meter installed at home, and certainly not without my knowledge or consent.
According to Meridian Energy, I will have no choice in the matter. Once they start installing smart meters in my neighbourhood they will put one on our house, whether we like it or not. Continue reading Sue Kedgley: Smart power meters a threat to health and liberty
